WLUC) - UPDATE: 10:35 a.m. Dec. 15: More details have been released regarding the death of 53-year-old Eric Olson. The Schoolcraft County Sheriff's Office took the missing person report for Olson on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The search began shortly after at various locations throughout Schoolcraft County. At about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, information was received that a vehicle matching the description of Olson's vehicle was parked in the Thunder Lake area of Schoolcraft County. Officers responded to the location and found Olson deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Olson was transported to Messier Broullire Funeral Home and later to U.P. Health System-Marquette for an autopsy. The Schoolcraft County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police and The Sault Tribe Police Department. ______UPDATE: 6:16 a.m. Dec. 15:According to the Schoolcraft County Sheriff's Office 53-year-old Eric Olson was found dead on Thursday.
